Lately...

Lately I've taken more of an interest in American comics. To be more specific WitchBlade and ElfQuest. I've read most of the graphic novels they had on WitchBlade and ElfQuest in the library. I was even able to find an old copy of ElfQuest in an cool antique shop I found once that has a lot comics for sell. They're not very new(my copy of ElfQuest is almost as old as me) but  they're still interesting. So out of curiosity which comics do you read?

These are the ones I'm following:

Fables, DMZ and I finished Y:the Last Man.

These are all kind of based in the 'real world'--Fables has the most fantastical elements. DMZ doesn't have any magic or fantasy elements and Y has eliminated all of the male gender except for a guy and his pet monkey.

I also read Ex Machina and the comic where the X-men were in 1602.

What did you think of Y? I've been thinking of picking that up for a while now.

I really enjoyed Y. It took a concept that could have easily devolved to something ridiculous but the idea is handled well.

There's action and the main characters have growth. I will say that the ending wasn't the greatest to me but it was still worth a read.

Been thinking on starting Fables but could never find it. Even tried Hastings with has a bunch of graphic novels. Hopefully I'll be able to find it one of these days.

Y sounds interesting. I'll like to see were the story is going. Are they available in book format?

I've only read Y in the book format thanks to my library.

I found Fables at my library but then I had to track down the later parts at Barnes and Noble and Books-a-million.
